Of course this is an older movie, but I hadn’t seen it until now. I needed to see a baseball movie to inspire me as our season ended Sunday. I’m not a Red Sox fan, except when they are playing the Yankees, and I didn’t mind sitting through this movie. It was actually pretty funny and I can say I liked it. Jimmy Fallon plays Ben Wrightman a super Red Sox fan who meets Lindsey Meeks (Drew Barrymore) who basically knows nothing about baseball. What I discovered is that this really wasn’t a baseball movie, but it was a movie about men and women trying to figure each other out…well…I guess it’s about life, with baseball intermixed. If you haven’t seen this movie, I think that you’ll get a few good laughs out of it, plus you’ll also get to see the Yankees lose, which most of the time, is a good thing.
